The main activity of Steypustöðin is the production of ready-mix concrete, where great emphasis is placed on producing high-quality products. All admixtures and fillers used in the concrete are in accordance with the requirements of the Building Regulations. The company runs its own laboratory where the quality of all production processes is constantly monitored. In addition to the production of ready-mix concrete, slabs and everything that goes with them are manufactured in a slab factory in Hafnafjörður, and the company runs a masonry store in Malarhöfði. Steypustöðin also has a precast element factory located in Borgarnes where a great variety of precast elements is produced. Additionally, the company runs its own quarries with minerals for the concrete.
